Requirements, status of compatibility and implementation
The website partially fulfils the requirements of the Accessibility Act (BaFG). The following standards and guidelines, among others, were taken into account:
- Harmonised European Standard EN 301 549, Version 3.2.1
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Version 2.2, Levels A and AA
We are constantly implementing measures to further improve the accessibility and user experience of our website. These include, among other things:
- A menu with operating aids (widget) has been integrated, which enables additional accessibility settings.
- Any future development of the website (e.g. new content, functions) will take accessibility into account from the outset.
Non-accessible content
We are aware that some content on our website is currently not fully accessible. Here we explain the reasons for this and how we are continuously improving accessibility:
Content that we actively customise
We regularly check our content for accessibility and are constantly working to improve it. Our aim is to fulfil all requirements as far as possible and to implement adaptations quickly in order to provide you with an accessible user experience.
Content with disproportionate effort
- Older video and audio content (before 28 June 2025): The subsequent adaptation of these older media would mean a disproportionately high organisational and financial effort.
- Booking process (third-party widget): Some interactive elements in the booking process are not yet fully accessible due to an external widget over which we have no direct influence. Immediate replacement would also be a disproportionate burden here.
If you have any difficulties with your booking, please contact us at any time! Our staff will be happy to help you and take care of the booking for you on request.
Content outside the legal requirements
- Older documents and content (before 28 June 2025): Some older documents and content published before 28 June 2025 are exempt from adaptation under the Accessibility Act. A comprehensive change to this content is not currently planned.
- Content from third-party providers: We cannot make any statements on accessibility for content that originates from external providers and is neither developed nor financed or controlled by us. These are also excluded from the Accessibility Act.
Operating aids for optimised use
We want you to be able to use our website optimally. Therefore we offer you Operating aids with which you can customise the display and operation of the site to your individual requirements. You can find these functions conveniently in the on the right-hand side of your browser window. To achieve the best possible adjustment, you can also Use several functions simultaneously. This allows you to combine the settings as required and create an even better user experience.
The following functions are available in the operating aids menu:
- Greyscale: Displays the website in black and white to make it easier to concentrate on the content.
- High contrast: Increases the colour contrasts to improve readability.
- Enlarge font: Increases the font size to make it easier to read.
