Top location on the Pitztal Glacier

Our operations, the Hotel Sonnblick, which B&B Elisabeth as well as our Restaurant Bergwerk, are located at the back of the 40 km long Pitztal valley in the village of Plangeross at 1616 metres above sea level in the municipal area of St. Leonhard.

The ski and hiking bus stop is right outside the front door and the bus takes you to the nearby ski and excursion areas free of charge.

To the valley station Rifflsee it is 2 km - 5 minutes, to the valley station Pitztal Glacier 3 km - 8 minutes, to the Club Alpine Pitztal (ski and mountain school) 2 km - 5 minutes.

Arrival by train

Via Innsbruck or Landeck to the long-distance train station Imst - Pitztal. From the station about 30 km to Plangeross. Free bus transfer (please book in advance at the hotel) or taxi transfer possible.
From Germany numerous fast and easy connections via the ICE hub Munich or with NightJet
From Austria directly 8 x daily from Vienna with the Railjet
From Switzerland directly 2 x daily from Zurich by Railjet

PRACTICAL

Arrival by car

From West (Arlberg) and from East (Innsbruck) via the Inntal motorway A12 to the exit Imst/Pitztal, then via Wenns and St. Leonhard via the Pitztal road (L16) to Plangeross. Hotel Sonnblick is located directly on the main road in the village of Plangeross.

From North toll-free (Reutte, Garmisch) via the Fernpassstraße (B179) and the Mieminger Straße (B189) to Imst. Then continue on the Tiroler Straße (B171) and via Wenns and St. Leonhard on the Pitztalstraße (L16) to Plangeross.
