Austrian Ecolabel

What we do in concrete terms for the environment, the region and our team in everyday hotel life.

Austrian Ecolabel – Green Hotel

Awarded the Austrian Ecolabel

Since January 2025 our hotel has held the Austrian Ecolabel (Österreichisches Umweltzeichen). This government quality label is awarded to tourism businesses according to defined criteria – for example on energy, water, waste, purchasing and cleaning – and is checked by an independent body.

We are also a member of the Climate Alliance Tyrol (Klimabündnis Tirol).

For us, this is not a single project but part of everyday life – towards the region, our team and our guests.

At a glance

What we do in concrete terms

  • Energy & water

    We use energy and water sparingly. We generate part of our electricity ourselves with our photovoltaic system.

  • Cleaning

    Our cleaning products are certified with recognised eco-labels such as the EU Ecolabel.

  • Buying locally

    In the GenussWerkstatt we prefer seasonal products from partners in the Pitztal and Tyrol.

  • Waste

    We avoid waste wherever possible and separate it consistently for recycling.

  • Getting around without a car

    The ski bus stop is around 100 m from the house. With the GuestCard, the bus takes you to the Pitztal Glacier free of charge in around 5 minutes.

  • Our team

    Fair, appreciative working conditions for our local and international staff.

Sustainable Development Goals

We are guided by the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Two of them are at the heart of what we do:

Goal 8 – Decent work: fair working conditions for our team.
Goal 13 – Climate action: economical use of energy and our own solar power.
