Your room is available from 3 pm on the day of arrival. On the day of departure we ask you to vacate the room by 10 am.

If you need it longer, please let us know: a late check-out until 4 pm is possible for a surcharge of € 30.00, subject to availability.

Yes. To make your reservation binding, we ask for a deposit of 20 % of the total amount.

• Cancellation is free of charge up to 21 days before arrival.
• From 20 to 14 days before arrival we charge a processing fee of € 100.00.
• From 13 to 1 day(s) before arrival we charge 80 % of the total amount.
• In the event of no-show or early departure we charge the full amount.

You can pay by debit card, VISA, Mastercard or cash – or transfer the amount in advance.

GenussHotel Sonnblick is located in the hamlet of Plangeross in St. Leonhard im Pitztal in Tyrol, Austria – in the inner Pitztal valley at 1,616 m above sea level, just a few kilometres from the Pitztal Glacier.

Address: Plangeross 45, 6481 St. Leonhard im Pitztal. The long-distance railway station Imst-Pitztal is around 30 km away, Innsbruck Airport around 55 km. More under Contact & directions.

The valley station of the Pitztal Glacier is 3.3 km away, the Rifflsee lift 2 km. The ski bus stop is around 100 m from the hotel, and the bus takes you to the glacier in around 5 minutes – free of charge with the GuestCard.

The family ski area Hochzeiger in Jerzens is 27 km away and can also be reached by ski bus. The valley cross-country trail runs right past the hotel. More under Winter in the Pitztal.

There are plenty of parking spaces right in front of the hotel – free of charge for your entire stay.

Yes, your four-legged friend is very welcome if you let us know in advance. The price is € 15.00 per dog per day (without food).

Please understand that not all room categories can be booked with a dog and that dogs are not allowed in the dining room or the spa area.

Any necessary final cleaning and damage caused by the dog will be charged.

Yes. Our kitchen team is happy to cater for allergies, intolerances and special diets. Vegan food is possible by arrangement.

Yes, there is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

No – deliberately: we do without fridges and minibars in the guest rooms to save electricity. At 1,616 m above sea level, your balcony often serves as a “natural” fridge.

If you need to keep something cool, our hotel bar will be happy to help.

Yes. In every room you will find a backpack for hikes and excursions. We are also happy to lend you umbrellas and hiking poles.

Yes. Our small but fine spa area has a Finnish sauna (90 °C), an aroma steam bath (45 °C), a whirlpool (30 °C), an infrared cabin, experience showers and a relaxation room. It is open daily from 2.30 to 7 pm and included for hotel guests.

In the evening from 8.15 to 10.15 pm you can book it as a private spa exclusively for two (€ 90.00 incl. prosecco).

All rooms and suites are non-smoking, and the entire dining area is smoke-free. You can smoke on your room’s balcony or on the hotel terrace.

Unfortunately our hotel is not fully accessible. Some rooms are equipped for accessibility, and you can reach the restaurant and terrace via a step-free outdoor path.

There is one step between reception and lobby; we are happy to provide a mobile ramp. A wheelchair-accessible toilet is on the lower ground floor.

Sonnblick is a family-run four-star hotel: the Rainer family runs it in the third generation. In the GenussWerkstatt we cook mainly with regional and seasonal produce – with breakfast in the GenussZone and a five-course menu in the evening.

Since January 2025 the hotel has held the Austrian Ecolabel and is a member of the Climate Alliance Tyrol. Then there is the location: quiet in the inner Pitztal valley, with the glacier almost on the doorstep.
