  1. Family hikes
    Children love to discover nature in a playful way. The Pitztal offers numerous hikes that are perfectly tailored for families, combining a nature experience with adventure.
    A highlight is the Legends Trail. On this varied themed path, you can reach the Gletscherstube in a relaxed manner. Along the way, various stations tell exciting stories from the mysterious Pitztal legends and invite you to marvel.
    Anyone who wants to learn more about local nature should pay a visit to the ZirbenPark. The family-friendly circular trail is all about the Swiss pine – the „Queen of the Alps“. Exciting experience stations impart knowledge about this special tree and make the hike an varied excursion for the whole family.
  2. Hill walks
    Whether as a cosy stopover or the crowning finale to a hike, the charming alpine pastures in Pitztal invite you to linger and enjoy. Surrounded by the impressive mountain scenery, you can let the peace of nature wash over you and experience warm Tyrolean hospitality.
    Look forward to regional specialities, homemade delicacies, and terraces with dreamlike views. This is how every alpine hike becomes a special pleasure for body and soul.
  3. Hikes with ascent aids
    Would you like to make the ascent a little easier? Then use the Pitztal Glacier lifts and start your mountain experience in a relaxed way. Whether it's a hike around the Rifflsee lake or a scenic ridge hike on the Hochzeiger – the lifts bring the most beautiful spots in the Pitztal mountain world a good deal closer.
    An absolute highlight is the ride on the Wildspitzbahn cable car. It takes you up to an impressive 3,440 metres above sea level. In the Café 3.440 or on the spectacular viewing platform, a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding three-thousand-metre peaks and the fascinating glacier world opens up.
  4. Mountain lakes & waterfalls
    Suddenly it becomes loud and the water crashes into the valley with impressive force. Roaring waterfalls are among the most impressive natural spectacles in the Pitztal – it's not for nothing that the region is also called the "Valley of Waterfalls".
    The numerous mountain lakes present themselves in a completely different way. Crystal-clear water, the impressive mountain backdrop and the soothing peace make them special places of strength. Whether for a leisurely rest, a picnic or simply to pause – here you can enjoy the beauty of nature and recharge your batteries.
  5. Summit tours
    For many hikers, a summit cross is simply part of the experience. In Pitztal, numerous summit tours await you – from leisurely hikes to demanding alpine challenges.
    Experienced mountaineers will find many other impressive peaks near the Wildspitze, North Tyrol's highest mountain, which reward with spectacular views. However, families and leisurely hikers will also get their money's worth: several summit crosses are reachable via easy paths and offer unforgettable mountain experiences for young and old alike.
    No matter which summit you choose, breathtaking panoramic views, unspoiled nature and the indescribable feeling of having reached the top are always included.

Our renovation story

From pipe dream to realisation - our conversion story

We would like to take you into our world of thought. What was once just a pipe dream has developed step by step over the last few months. This journey began about a year ago - full of ideas, doubts, enthusiasm and little aha moments. Today we would like to share it with you.

A spontaneous intuition - or perhaps just a phrase thrown into the round in an intimate family gathering - got the ball rolling.


'We could rebuild our bar in spring 2025.


At first, this sentence caused laughter, but nobody wanted to get it out of their head that quickly. A cautious call to our architect and a discussion with our trusted bank followed. The green light was given from all sides - and the first (of many) steps was taken.

From the very beginning, it was important to us to create a cosy atmosphere. Comfort and modern elements were to be just as important as harmonious integration into the existing building. In the end, we entrusted our architects with precisely this task.

As it was already late summer, time was of the essence. All the measurements were quickly taken and our master builders' heads were spinning. But after just a few weeks, we had the first plans in our hands - and as you would expect from our masters, we were immediately delighted.

We now know each other well thanks to several joint remodelling projects. Each of us knows what makes the other tick and what really matters to us.

Now it was time to organise all the companies involved. Given the time pressure, this was no easy task. As with our previous projects, we wanted to rely on familiar faces this time too - and so we made particular use of our tried and tested local companies. At the same time, in contrast to the previous remodelling projects, many new companies joined us. Especially in the area of the dispensing system/bar and the buffet section. 

All the trades were finally involved, and here too we were very lucky: all our partners - both the long-standing local companies and the new supra-regional firms - were able to give us their commitment for the spring.

Then there was another, no less important item on our list - and not just for the ladies of the house, but also for our architects: the selection of materials, colours and shapes for our newly designed areas. There was a lot to think about and we invested a lot of time in these decisions.

Finally, when most of it was planned, organised and ordered, one day drew ever closer: the last day of our winter season. And when the doors of this season closed, it was finally time to say goodbye: 'On your marks, get set, go!

Things got serious. Suddenly the voices and laughter of our guests fell silent - and a completely new level of noise moved into the house. We busily cleared out, tidied up and prepared everything for the big demolition.

Then it got really loud: Windows and doors, the old bar, our service area, rooms and the toilet facilities in the basement - everything had to give way and flew out in a high arc.

Suddenly it was empty. The area we spent time in every day was suddenly open before us. We could see the rooms with different eyes, and the plans took on a much clearer shape in our minds. Everything started rolling

As quickly as the demolition was completed, the reassembly began. Tradesmen moved in one after the other, and work was carried out diligently in every nook and cranny. The schedule was tight - and despite a few minor setbacks, almost all trades were completed on time.

Then it was time to roll up our sleeves, clean up and put everything away again. Piece by piece, decorative items and bar utensils found their place. By now, almost everything should be where it belongs - even if we are sure to discover one or two details in day-to-day operations.

And finally, the last company put the icing on the cake: Our trusted creative workshop put all the photos in place. Our remodelling was finally complete.

We can now once again hear the sounds that bring us the most joy: the laughter and conversations of our guests. We are delighted that we have already been able to share our new areas with many familiar faces as well as new ones. And we are certain that many more wonderful memories will be created here in the future.
